Great weekends coming up!

My brother-in-law and his wife and kids (Ryan & Carol that I mentioned us visiting in CA) are coming in for a two week stay. I'm so excited to see them again. This weekend we are going and staying at my sister-in-law's house with her and her husband and son, and Ryan's family. It will be quite interesting to have the three siblings their spouses and the three kids under three there at the same time! I am very much looking forward to it though. I think Zaq is looking forward to seeing the adults, the kids not so much. However I do think the kids are growing on him. It will be quite interesting to see how my nephews gang up on him. Xander (CA nephew) has no qualms about saying "Uncle Zaq, Uncle Zaq" to do whatever. Apollo (Pittsburgh nephew) calls him Izzy (which was actually his first word) or Uncle Izzy. I'm curious to see if they both start calling him the same thing (maybe Izzy Zaq?) I love being around the kids though, however I have a feeling having these two boys together might completely wear me out just by watching them! I think the last time they saw each other was last August.

Next week, we have a 60th anniversary celebration going on for the theatre. Zaq's great-grandfather and a couple other men built a Drive-in here in Richland (on the same lot our theatre currently sits) back in 1949. The family has continuously had theatres on this same lot since then. We thought that was something worth celebrating especially in these economic times. For the event we are holding on Thursday, I contacted film companies to see if there was anything they had for us to help promote the event. I'm rather overwhelmed by the response (I believe I have 12 boxes of stuff they have sent). So we are giving out some excellent goody bags to all the attendees of this event. We even got some newer candies to put in the bag. On that front we have Wonka Kazoozles (which are kind of a licorice thing, but it has a filling in it) in Pink Lemonade. We have the new Transformers M&Ms (the strawberried Peanut Butter ones, if you haven't tried them before and you like PBJ sandwiches you should try them, yum). We also have Cranberry Raisinets to put in there. I just figured this would be a great way to showcase some new candies that are coming out since that is theatre related!

That Saturday, we are having a "T family reunion". At least that is what my father-in-law is calling it, but for the most part it is our typical family gathering, except for his aunt and family are coming in from Florida and part of the extended family from Indiana is coming in. I say extended family because they aren't Ts. Zaq's grandmother was an F and obviously married a T. The people coming in from Indiana are Zaq's maternal great-uncle's kids, so they are Fs. If that makes any sense at all. The T family isn't really that big of one. Anyway, it should still be fun. Ed has a big water slide for his back yard (one of those huge inflatable things with the little pool at the bottom.)

Well, that's all for now, as I need to get working on those goody bags!
